"I was diagnosed probably 12 years ago. I suffered for 5 years before the diagnosis. I thought that everyone had sensitive points on the inside of the knees and on top of my shoulders. The symptoms I was experiencing were ; irritable bowel, pain throughout my body, tenderness, Reynauds syndrome, referred pain patterns, sleep issues, numbness in hands and shoulders, and was very frustrated. So, I bought a book on Fibromyagalia and took it to my doctor. My doctor said that I most likely had it, and prescribed me with Elavil, for sleeping and to help cope with the pain.
